How text messaging works in Unicorn Money — opt-in, message frequency, and how to stop at any time.

What Unicorn Money is

Unicorn Money is a personal finance app for households. Users can log spending, check budgets, and get quick balance summaries by texting their assigned Unicorn Money phone number, in addition to using the app at my.unicornmoney.app.

How to opt in

SMS is a user-initiated, in-app feature. To enable it:

1. Sign in to Unicorn Money at my.unicornmoney.app.
2. Open your Profile from the menu.
3. Enter your mobile phone number in the Phone number field.
4. Check the box labeled "I agree to receive SMS messages from Unicorn Money for account-related queries and updates. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
5. Save your profile.

Only users who complete these steps will receive SMS messages. Phone numbers are never collected through the marketing site or any third party. Consent is timestamped and stored alongside the phone number.

Message frequency

Messages are sent in response to texts the user initiates. Frequency varies by user — typically a few messages per week. Unicorn Money does not send unsolicited marketing or promotional messages.

Reply HELP at any time to get a list of supported commands.

Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. You can re-enable SMS later by replying START or by re-checking the consent box in your profile.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Unicorn Money does not charge for SMS, but your carrier may.

Privacy

Phone numbers and message content are used solely to operate the SMS feature of Unicorn Money. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for details.

Supported carriers

Unicorn Money's SMS feature works with all major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and their MVNOs. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
